Lucy Wold

Lucy Marie Wold, age 94, of Ithaca, MI died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Rosewood Adult Foster Care in Ithaca, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Willie Iwankiw will officiate. Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery Ithaca, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Lucy was born in Ladora, Iowa on February 25, 1915, the daughter of Alfons Joseph and Leontine (Clause) DePaepe. She attended high school in Minnesota, then at the age of 50 she received her nursing degree in Iowa. Lucy married Harold Wold on January 19, 1934 in Neillsville, WI. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1986. Lucy was a homemaker, and had resided in Ithaca for the past year. Prior to that, she had resided in North Carolina. Lucy enjoyed making quilts for family members, and loved reading and exercising. She was very talented in many different capacities. She was a member of Ithaca Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She is survived by son Richard and Lorena Wold of North Fork, CA, son Harley and Kay Wold of Ithaca, MI, daughter Jacqueline Simcox of Ithaca, MI, son David Wold of Hendersonville, NC, daughter Marilyn and Bill Kiser of Ithaca, MI, son Jim and Karen Wold of Honolulu, HI, 17grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons Robert & Harold, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
