Lupe Ceja age 68 of Breckenridge, Michigan died Monday, June 26, 2006 at Masonic Pathways Alma, Michigan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mount St. Joseph Catholic Church St. Louis, Michigan on Friday, June 30, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Fr. Kevin Maksym will officiate with burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery Breckenridge, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 and Thursday, June 29, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lupe was born in Johnson City, Texas on December 12, 1937 the daughter of Cruz and Fibana ( Romero ) Hernandez. She resided most of her life in Saginaw, St. Louis, and Breckenridge since 1988 and attended shools in Texas and then Saginaw Schools. Lupe married Rogelio Ceja on October 26, 1957 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a homemaker. She loved her grandchildren, playing bingo, and going to the casino. She also enjoyed crocheting, dancing, and fishing. Most of all, familly times were very important to her. Lupe was a member of Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, MI.
She is survived by her husband Rogelio "Jerry" Ceja of Breckenridge, MI, 3 sons; Rogelio & Christine Ceja Jr. of Alma, MI, Reuben & Catherine Ceja of St. Louis, MI, Scott Ceja of Breckenridge, MI, 5 grandchildren; Jennifer & Daniel Acheson, Reuben Christopher Ceja, Stepanie Kirk, Emma Ceja, Rogelio Michael Ceja, 1 great granddaughter Isabella Acheson, 2 brothers; Raymond & Olivia Hernandez of Saginaw, MI, Patrick & Kelly Hernandez of Alma, MI, several nieces & nephews and extended family. She is predeceased by her parents, 1 sister Ramona, 1 brother Luis, sister-in-law Ramona and sister-in-law Louise.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
