Lynn Albert “Cookie” Cook

     Lynn Albert “Cookie” Cook, age 77, of Charlotte, MI, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024.

     A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 16, 2024, with Mr. Dave Ott officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI. 

     Lynn was born in Owosso, MI on April 15, 1946, the son of Ellsworth Lovegran and MaryV (Hay) Cook of Elsie, MI where he was raised and graduated in 1964, from Elsie High School followed by Lansing Community College, General Motors Institute and graduated from Michigan State University in Accounting in 1970.  Lynn married the love of his life, Jill Evans in 1970 in Lansing, MI, they spent 53 wonderful years together.  

      Lynn worked for Roary Corporation from 1970-1987, Ersco from 1987-1989, and then went to work for Christman Constructors and Company in Lansing, where he retired after 26 years on his 69th birthday, April 15, 2015, (tax day).  He was an Accountant, chef, gardener, pilot, traveler, and model train enthusiast. 

     He is survived by his wife Jill Cook of Charlotte, MI; daughter Jillyn and Paul Boldrey of Nashville, MI; son Nicholas and Jennifer Cook of Lansing, MI; five grandchildren:  Liam, Logan, and Ethan Boldrey; Hannah and Austin Cook.  Lynn was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws Mary and Gerald Evans.
