Mabel V. Cooper age 80, of Corunna, MI died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility, Corunna, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jenning-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 1:00 P.M., Chaplain Beverly Adcock will officiate with burial at Maple River Cemetery Shiawassee Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 from 6-8 P.M. and on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jenning-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI.

Mabel was born in Owosso, Michigan on September 12, 1927, the daughter Charles E. and Stella M. (Dibean) Nye. She resided most of her life in Owosso, Michigan. Mabel married John H. Cooper on June 3, 1945 in Owosso, Michigan. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and made lots clothes for her family. She also liked quilting and cooking. Mabel made wonderful bread and was an excellent baker. She also liked to travel when she was able.

She is survived by her daughter Valencia and Don Rowell of Kansas City, MO, son John and Ellen Cooper of Owosso, MI, son Douglas and Teresa Cooper of Owosso, MI, daughter Deborah and Rod Hites of Owosso, MI, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, 2 brothers; Duane & Merritt, and 2 sisters; Lucille & Charlena.

Memorials may be made to the Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility Corunna, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, Michigan.
