Madeline Ferguson

Madeline Martha Ferguson, age 89, of Alma, Michigan died Sunday, November 29, 2015 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis MI, on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Tim Fuentes officiating.  Burial will take place at Bailey Cemetery, Alma, Michigan.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 1, 2015 from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Madeline was born in West Virginia on June 20, 1926, the daughter of Emery and Ada (Hobbs) Starkey.  She married William T. Ferguson on December 15, 1945 in Switzer, West Virginia; Bill died on November 2, 2002.  Madeline enjoyed sewing, gardening in her flower garden, and reading.  She resided most of her life in Alma, Michigan.

She is survived by 3 daughters; Tricia and Victor Smith of St. Louis, MI, Janine of St. Louis, MI, Ruth and Chuck Head of Alma, MI, and 1 son Randall and Janet Ferguson of Pheonix, AZ,   14 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Olin and Dorothy Starkey of Weidman, MI, Fred and Beverly Starkey of St. Louis, MI and son in law Marvin Dallas Chinn of Alma, Michigan.  She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, 1 daughter Billie "Sue" Chinn, 2 grandchildren; David Head, Shane Ferguson, and 2 brothers; Cameron and Orville Starkey.
