Madge Owen

Madge Lillie Owen, 80, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI.

An Open House Gathering will be held at the Gratiot Community Senior Center, 1329 Michigan Ave., St. Louis, MI, on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 12 - 3 P.M.

Madge was born in Fairfield, Utah on November 10, 1935, the daughter of Carl and Louie (Rawson) Smith.  Madge enjoyed reading, crocheting and baking. She loved spending time with her family and traveling to see them in Missouri and Kentucky. She was a secretary at the Gratiot Senior Center for 10 years.

She is survived by her children; Stanley and Rhonda Beckstead of Elwell, MI, Nyle and Dawn McMurtrey of Lamont, MO, and Melody Porter of St. Louis, MI, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings.
