Marcia Ann (Craner) Ferretti

    Marcia Ann Ferretti, age 75, of Perrinton, MI, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.

     A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 2:00 P.M.  She will be buried next to her daughter in Sowle Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, April, 30, 2022, from 1 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

     Marcia was born in St. Johns, Michigan on December 30, 1946, the daughter of Alexander Samson and Shirley Frances (Archer) Craner.  She graduated from Fulton High School with the class with the class of 1965. She later earned a Bachelors' Degree in Urban Development from MSU.

     Marcia worked for MESC over 30 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  She was also a member of the DAR and the OES. Marcia was a diehard member of the Democrat Party.   Marcia was proud of her Scottish roots and looked forward to the annual Huntly Family Reunion. She loved her family and enjoyed family camping trips to Harwick Pines, Tahquamenon Falls, and many other adventures.  She liked garage sales and finding a next good deal.

     She is survived by her son Anthony (Patricia) Ferretti; her grandchildren: Joshua (Juanita) Smith, Jessica (Jim) Knapp, Jason (Kelsie) Smith, Aaron (Selena) Matson, and Mario Sanchez; great-grandchildren: Harmony, Katie, Alex, Helena, Sophia, Conner, Briella, Kaitlyn, Curt, Aiden, Madelyn, Chloe, and Amellia; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Alexander and Shirley Craner, her daughter Jamie, and her brother Robert (Helen) Morris.
