She loved reading books and enjoyed creative writing. Marcia had many houseplants and a very large garden, growing flowers and vegetables was a passion for her and Henry. She was very talented and could make anything with a needle and thread, from creative clothing, to beautiful quilts, and embroidery. Marcia was very good at keeping in touch with friends, former co-workers, and distant family members. The works of her hands were quite often gifted to friends and family members as quilts, clothing, baked goods, and milestone birthday scrapbooks. She was an excellent cook and baker, and was a gracious hostess for any occasion from a picnic to a large sit-down dinner. She loved taking care of people and giving back to her community.
