Marcia M. Skosich, age 93, of Owosso, MI, formerly of Sylvan Lake, passed away Friday, April 3, 2009 at Country Views Adult Foster Care Home in Owosso.
A Graveside Service will be held at Pine Tree Cemetery on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., The Rev. Nancy Steele will officiate.
Marcia was born in Ovid, Michigan on October 30, 1915, the daughter of Willard C. and Opal (Goff) Mead. She attended Corunna High School. Marcia married Nick Skosich in 1939 in Ohio and he preceded her in death. She worked for T&C Credit Union in Oakland County for fifty-seven years as a loan officer. Marcia resided most of her life in the Sylvan Lake area.
She is survived by two sisters, Beverly and Bert Wieland of Corunna and Jacqulyn Keilman of Florida; one brother Lawrence "Larry" Mead of Corunna. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Nick, three sisters Eugenia Zathovic, Bethany Bond, Clarice Bursik, and one brother Willard Mead.
