Margaret E. "Pegge" Dillingham, age 87, of Owosso died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Waltonwood Assisted Living in Royal Oak, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. at Owosso First United Methodist Church, Pastor Calvin Long will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. in the church lounge. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.

Pegge was born in Owosso, Michigan on May 25, 1923, the daughter of Ray W. and Faith (Blood) Hall. Pegge married Max L. Dillingham on December 12, 1943 in Owosso, MI. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2005. Pegge was a lifelong resident of Owosso. She was a graduate of Owosso High School, and Michigan State University where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She was a speech therapist for Owosso Public Schools for 22 years. Pegge was the creator and hostess of the show "Miss Peggy's Playhouse" for six years, had hosted the radio show "Borden Storybook Lady" on WOAP, and authored a children's book "Sound Comics" published by Prentice-Hall. She and Max were part of several television commercials, print ad campaigns, and industrial modeling. She was a member of the Current Topic Club, Hospital Auxiliary, Shiawassee Arts Council, Otsego Ski Club, Owosso Country Club, and Indian River Golf Club. Pegge's hobbies included golfing, cross country skiing, swimming, writing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Owosso First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughter Diane and Larry Grauberger of Denver, CO, son Dan and Joy Dillingham of Beverly Hills, MI, 3 grandchildren; Dr. Jeffrey and Nisa Dillingham of Birmingham, MI, Jessica and Matt Stein of Cary, NC, Julianne Dillingham of Beverly Hills, MI, and a great granddaughter Grace Dillingham. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Max, and sister Falice Hall.
