Margaret Ann Fetters, age 73, of St. Louis, MI passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI with her family at her side.
Funeral Services will be held at Coe Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Lane Hassloch officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery in Seville Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.
Margaret was born in Alma, Michigan on July 18, 1940, the daughter of Ivan and Clara (Phelps) Peak. She attended Alma Schools, and earned her GED from St. Louis Schools. Margaret married Roger G. Fetters on April 5, 1957. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2012. Margaret retired from Masonic Pathways, and had also been employed at Schnepp Nursing Home, and Gratiot Community Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning, swimming, and spending time with her family. Margaret also loved being with her sisters, and hosting BBQs at her house. She attended Coe Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son Chris and Suzie Fetters, daughter Kathy Fetters and Mike Hoffman, and son Jeff Fetters, all of St. Louis, MI, son Brian and Susan Fetters of Palo Verdos, CA, 9 grandchildren; Ben, Ashley, and Christopher Monroe, Kyle Fetters, Logan, Kaitlyn, and Brandon Fetters, Jason and Anna Onstott, Josh and Megan Onstott, 6 great grandchildren; Arys, Justice, Jager, Dylan, Jameson, and Cruz, brother Jack and Carol Peak of Tennessee, 2 sisters; Donna Arts of St. Louis, MI, and Ella and Duane Kenny of Shepherd, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger, twin sister Mary Nicewander, and brothers; Jim, Ray, Virgil, and Ed Peak.
