Margaret Howell

Margaret June Howell age 83 of St. Louis, Michigan died October 14, 2007 at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Wayne Boughan will officiate with burial at Chapel Garden Cemetery Seville Township, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15, 2007 from 6-9 P.M.

Margaret was born in Riverdale, Michigan on June 14, 1924 the daughter of Lorin B and Lena ( Hamp ) Gossett. She resided most of her life in Sumner & Riverdale areas and attended Riverdale Schools. Margaret married Joseph E. Howell on September 9, 1940 in Riverdale, Michigan. He passed away in 1996. She worked for Wolverine Shoe Factory for 22 years before retiring. She enjoyed sewing and reading. Margaret also loved to go dancing and out to eat. She enjoyed her dog companion Troubles.

She is survived by her children; Gerald J. & Ada Howell of Crystal, MI, Emaline & Charles Huntoon of St. Louis, MI, Lorin B. & Dixie Howell of Vestaburg, MI, Janet L. Howell of Greenville, MI, 1 daughter-in-law Mary Howell of Greenville, MI, 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, 4 sisters; Julie King, Virginia Freeman, Lucille Bradley, Lorna Wolf, and several nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, 1 son Mickey in 1993, 1 sister Leta Bailey, & 1 brother Lyle Gossett.

Memorials may be made to Parkinson Foundation or Bay City Hospice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
