Margaret Slepr

Margaret G. Slepr, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the age of 83. Born May 15, 1927 in St. Johns, Michigan the daughter of Leon and Crystal (Teachworth) Moore. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and worked for Uncle Johns Cider Mill for 25 years. Margaret married Keith Slepr August 31, 1945 and he survives her.

Also surviving are two daughters, Dorine Horn of Laingsburg, and Jo Ellen (Greg) Heidger of Merrill, one son, Dan Slepr of Las Vegas, five grandchildren, Joel and David Slepr, Kathy Devitt, Keith (Tiffany) Heidger, and Mindy (Duncan) Buchanan, great grandchildren, Kristopher Flowers, William Devitt and Lillie Heidger, two sisters, Ruth (Walter) Smith of Ashley and Diana (Richard) Barrett of St. Johns, sisters-in-law, Wilma Moore and Wenda Duflo . She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Jennifer Slepr, and three brothers, Leon Jr, Chancey and Richard Moore.

Margaret's request was to have no visitation. Graveside Services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Union Home Cemetery with Pastor Steve Lang officiating. Arrangements by Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gratiot Humane Society, 2675 W. Washington St., Ithaca, MI. 48847.
