Margaret Sturton

Margaret Ruth (Stearns) Sturton, age 91, of Riverdale, Michigan died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Laurels of Carson City.

There will be no services.

Margaret was born on January 27, 1920, the daughter of John and Clara (Smith) Brand. She graduated from Central Montcalm High School and attended college for her teaching degree. Margaret taught school for a short time. She was married Alfred Stearns who died in 1969. She married Allen Sturton who also predeceased her. She worked for Wolverine Worldwide in Greenville then retiring from the Ithaca factory after 32 years of service. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon and Phillip Leach of Grand Haven, MI, son Randy and Judy Stearns of Riverdale, MI, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, 2 husbands, 1 sister, and 2 brothers.
