Margaret Tipton

Margaret J. Tipton age 87, of Middleton, MI, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family.

Cremation has taken place and burial will be held at Payne Cemetery.

Margaret was born in Hesperia, MI on September 24, 1931, the daughter of Jessie LeRoy and Ida (Inniger) Drake. She married John Sherman Tipton on April 11, 1957 in Perrinton, MI; he passed away on November 12, 2004.

Margaret enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching the Golden Girls and lottery tickets. She also liked drinking coffee with Gordie and watching the rabbits and chickens. Margaret always looked forward to having her hair colored and cut. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Connie and Michael Bouchey of Sumner, MI; Janice and Gordon Hunt of Middleton, MI; Jeff Tipton of Wayland MI; grandchildren: Michael, Sara, and Hannah Bouchey; Vernie, Zackary, and Ezekiel Hunt; and Eli Tipton, great-grandchildren: Nathan, Megan, Zane, Logan, Chloe Hazel, and Aleah Jo. She is also survived by sisters: Verena Howell, Ina Blair, Mary Bolin, and her brother Glen and (Betty) Drake.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, granddaughter Rachael Bouchey, brothers: Gladwin and Marvin, and sister Wilma Andrews.
