Margery Bebow

Margery Jean Bebow, age 75, of St. Louis, MI passed away Monday, April 16th, 2012 at Mid Michigan Medical Center-Gratiot, Alma, MI. Funeral Services will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alma, MI on Thursday, April 19th at 11:00 A.M. Pastor John Eich will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 PM. and Wednesday from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
Margery was born in Ithaca, Michigan on January 15, 1937, the daughter of George and Mae (Hearn) Harrison. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1954, and earned her teaching degree from Central Michigan College. She married Lowell Bebow on August 17, 1957 in St. Louis, MI. Margery was a lifelong resident of St. Louis, and did bookkeeping work for the family farm up until recently. She taught country schools at Langport and Vincent Townships. She loved genealogy, antiquing and enjoyed collecting Flow Blue China. She was a member of the Get Together Club, and performed singing at many weddings. Margery loved flower gardening, taking pictures, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Alma, MI, where she was active in the church choir.
She is survived by her husband Lowell Bebow of St. Louis, MI; daughter Jill and Jerry Bartlett of Breckenridge, MI; son Brad and Paula Bebow of St. Louis, MI; 4 grandchildren Kevin, Grant, Gracelyn Bebow, and Meghan Bartlett; great grandson Eli Bebow; sister Donna Marr of Breckenridge, MI; sister in law Geraldine Doepker of St. Louis, MI; and a sister in law Donna Bebow of St. Louis, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters Mildred, Lelah, Margaret, and Joyce; and a brother Royal.
