Marguerite Elizabeth "Peg" Moore age 86 of Owosso, MI died Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Memorial Healthcare Center Owosso, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Edwin Snook will officiate. Burial will be held at Osceola Township Cemetery Evart, MI, on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
Peg was born in Evart, Michigan on January 14, 1922, the daughter of Henry Andrew and Elma Elizabeth (Kneisel) Rueffer. She resided in Evart, MI until she moved to Owosso, MI in 1963. She graduated from Evart High School. Peg married Emmett Moore on July 12, 1953. He passed away on February 2, 2001. Peg was a den mother for the Cub Scouts and a co-leader for the Girl Scouts. Peg was a homemaker and the world's best mom and grandma. She was also "best friend" to many. Family was very important to her. She was always doing things for others, and never complained. She was a very kind and loving woman. Peg enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk and she loved "American Idol".
She is survived by her daughter Anita and Jim Tolen of Manchester, MI, son John Perry of Owosso, MI, son Carl Moore of Owosso, MI, son Tom Moore of Owosso, MI, daughter Mary and Pablo Alvarado of Owosso, MI, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters Helene Chase-Seger of Evart, MI, and Dorothy and Edward Dugan of Florida. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 3 brothers; Rollin, Arvel, & Robert and 2 sisters; Marene & Willodene.
