Maria MacLaren

Maria Estella MacLaren, age 66, of Elwell, MI passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at her home.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 from 11:00-1:00 pm at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel, Ithaca, MI friends and family welcome. A Private Memorial Service will follow.

Maria was born in Benevidas, Texas on December 10, 1948, the daughter of Pancho and Trinidad (Lira) Sanchez. Maria resided most of her life in the Alma area. Maria married Randy MacLaren in Stanton, MI on February 14, 1998. Maria loved spending time with her family and was always ready for an adventure. Her grandchildren brought her great joy. She will be remembered as a beautiful soul inside and out. Maria was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Randy MacLaren of Elwell, MI, 2 daughters; Melanie and Bryan Hurt of Alma, MI, Marcie and Michael Brewer of Mason, MI, step-daughter Angela and Michael Jorae of Sumner, MI, step-son Jay and Ashlee MacLaren of Wheeler, MI, 9 grandchildren; Avery Hurt, Ariel Hurt, Lance Hurt, Mya Brewer, Mila Brewer, Maylee Brewer, Barrett Jorae, Bentley MacLaren and Addison MacLaren, brother Lorenzo and Sheila Nino of Waco, TX, 2 sisters; Janie Sanchez of Alma, MI, Josie Jessup of Alma, MI, and many nieces and nephews. Maria was preceded in death by her parents.
