Marian Hopkinson

Marian L. Hopkinson age 78 of Alma, Michigan died Friday, January 4, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw, Michigan.

A Graveside Service will be held at Pritchard Cemetery Elwell, MI on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Dan Stehouwer will officiate.
Marian was born in Seville Township, Michigan on May 10, 1929 the daughter of Christopher Ray and Hazel ( Swartz ) Mizer. She resided most of her life in Ithaca, St. Louis, & Alma. Marian married William Hopkinson on July 3, 1971 in Ithaca, Michigan. William died on May 18, 2005. She retired from Chemical in Bank in St. Louis. Marian loved to hunt, fish, go snowmobiling, bowl, and golf. She played softball and helped on her family farm. She enjoyed family time and playing games with them.Marian really enjoyed life and felt she had a full and happy one.

She is survived by her brother Roy & Jane Mizer of Breckenridge, MI, many nieces & nephews, many great nieces and nephews, she was close to nieces; Sharon & Larry Hagen of Ohio, Ruth Mizer of Breckenridge, MI, 2 sisters in-law; Wilma Mizer of Wheeler, MI, Joan Cook of Ithaca, MI, cousin Edna Clark of Alma, MI, and aunt Inez Haskins of St. Louis, MI. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, nephew Jim Mizer, brother George & Dorothy Mizer, brother Art & Sibyl Mizer, brother Jerry Mizer, and sister Viola & Andy Sanders.

Memorials may be made to Charity of the Donors Choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
