Marie Schreiner

Marie Irene Schreiner age 77 of Bannister, Michigan died Wednesday June 6, 2007 at her sons home in Bannister, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Mr. Thomas Bradley will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Marie was born in Durand, Michigan on November 11, 1929 the daughter of Virgil and Mary ( Lucas ) Long. She resided most of her life in the Bannister area and attended Crippen Country School. Marie married Andrew Schreiner on February 11, 1948 in North Star, Michigan. Andrew died November 27, 1991. She was a homemaker who loved being outdoors working in her flowers, she enjoyed playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren. Marie enjoyed polka music and was a faithful listner of WOES Radio.

She is survived by 2 daughters Karen Kirby of Bannister, Michigan, Diane Schreiner of Lansing, Michigan, 2 sons Louis & Kathy Schreiner of Bannister, Michigan, Kenny & Brenda Schreiner of Chesaning, Michigan, 11 grandchildren; Tina & Bill Morey of Laingsburg, Michigan, Robert & Sheila Kirby of Flint, Michigan, Cindy & Scott Doyle of Shaftsburg, Michigan, Jason & Michelle Schreiner of Elsie, Michigan, Shaun Schreiner of Ovid, Michigan, Kevin & Cheryl Lupu of Lansing, Michigan, Scott Lupu of Owosso, Michigan, Robert Thompson of Bannister, Michigan, Hannah Schreiner of Bannister, Michigan, Devin Schreiner of Chesaning, Michigan, Brice Schreiner of Chesaining, Michigan, 11 great grandchildren, 6 brothers and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, & 3 sisters.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Gratiot County or the Meals on Wheels Program.. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
