Marie Wieber

On February 21, 2015 Marie Wieber, loving mother, sister, and friend, left us after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 15, 1947, in St. Johns, MI, to Arnold and Dorothy Wieber of Pewamo. She graduated from Pewamo-Westphalia High School in 1965, and earned a business degree from Michigan State University in 1973. The blue skies and mountains of Colorado called Marie to spend the next 40 years as a self-employed CPA in Denver. Marie especially enjoyed traveling, hiking in the mountains, taking pictures, spending time with family and friends, and most of all, sharing her life and love with her daughter, Elly.

Surviving are her daughter, Elly; brothers and sisters, Phyllis Simon, John (Cheryl) Wieber, Bernita (Larry) Schafer, Lu (Ron) Smith, Jan (Hank) Klein, Gladys (Denny) Simon, Arlene (Ashley) Jones, Doris (John) Cook, Theresa (Gene) Pohl, Elaine Larson, Bruce (Judy) Wieber, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Arnold and Dorothy Wieber, brother-in-law, Ron (Butch) Simon, and niece, Sarah Jones.

Marie will be missed by everyone who knew her, from her family and friends in Pewamo to her friends in Denver. The Wieber family would especially like to thank Marie's wonderful friends in Denver for their gracious support of her during this time, arranging the Denver memorial service, providing food, and generous volunteering of time to drive the Wiebers to and from the airport.

The family will receive friends on March 23, 2015, from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:00 pm with Deacon Chuck Thelen officiating at the Goerge Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes, 11112 W. Ionia , Fowler, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a college fund for her daughter, Elly.
