Marieta "Jean" Doucette age 81 of Ithaca, Michigan died Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Rosewood Adult Foster Care, Ithaca, MI.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel. Burial will take place at Hamilton Township Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2005 from 4-8 P.M.
Marieta "Jean" was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on October 9, 1923 the daughter of Bryan & Irene ( Eggleston ) Dayringer. In her childhood she was raised in Syckles. Marieta married Stephen Doucette on December 24, 1945 in Kittery, Maine. He died on July 30, 1966. She and her husband traveled with the US Navy to various parts of the world. She had resided in Ithaca since 1968. Jean was a homemaker, who loved to grow houseplants, crochet, reading, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son Bryan & Shirley Doucette of Ludington, MI, daughter Maria & Ron Lott of Alma, MI, 8 grandchildren; Angie & Keith Parker of Strongsville, OH, Christina & Gabe Tesnado of Surprise, AZ, Stephen & Erin Doucette of Palm Springs, CA, Rhonda & Tim Janovsky of Surprise, AZ, Deanna Lott of Ithaca, MI, Daniel Doucette of Lansing, MI, Matthew Doucette of Ludington, MI, Tamela Doucette of Ludington, MI, 6 great grandchildren; Vincent Thomison, Alyssa Parker, Sabrina Thomison, Kelsey Parker, Riley Janovsky, Logan Janovsky, 2 sisters; Charlotte & Ron Pittman of St. Johns, MI, Betty Helsel of Michigan, 1 brother Marcel & Pat Evitts of Ithaca, MI, and special friend & traveling companion a�" Lois Sherwood of Ithaca, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, infant daughter Marieta, and great grandson Jarrett Wing.
