Marietta VanEtten

Marietta D. Van Etten died December 22, 2011, at the age of 82. She was born on March 2, 1929, in Fowler, the daughter of Albert and Irene (Thelen) Schueller. She married Eugene VanEtten on May 29, 1953, and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1991.

Marietta is survived by her daughters, Gloria (Russ) Brauher, Mary (Bob) Pratt, sons, Sam (Darlinda) VanEtten, Eugene VanEtten, David (Julie) VanEtten, fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, sisters, Geraldine Geller and Theresa Fox, brothers, Richard (Kathy) Schueller, Jerome Schueller, Ambrose (Lorraine) Schueller and Gary (Rose) Schueller. Preceding Marietta in death along with her husband are her parents, sons, James and Paul, a grandson, sisters, Rita Skriba, Sr. Rosaline Schueller and brother, Joseph Schueller.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., St. Johns, burial to follow at Eureka Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Marietta's memory to Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor. The family was served by The Osgood Funeral Homes.
