Marilyn Alderete

Marilyn Gean Alderete age 70, of Ithaca, MI passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.

According to Marilyn's wishes, a cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will take place at a later date.

Marilyn was born in Alma, MI on June 27, 1947 the daughter of Marvin D. and Georgianna (Howell) Bish.  She graduated from Ithaca High School and lived most of her life in the Ithaca area.  Marilyn retired from Carson City Correctional Facility after 28 years of service as a corrections officer.

Marilyn was a hardworking mom.  She was one of the strongest independent women.  Marilyn was very witty and had a comeback for everything.  She enjoyed scrapbooking and motorcycle riding.  Marilyn especially loved her little dogs.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Lyle Bywater of Ithaca, MI, Steven (Jennifer) Bywater of Alma, MI, and Brenna (Dustin) Lantz of Grand Ledge, MI; grandchildren: Brandy, Conrad, Karissa, Rowen, Ethan, and Jamie; great grandchildren: Krissa, Brandon, and Myleigh; brother Dale (Zeda) Bish and sister Shirley (Clyde) Rose.  Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and sister Gale Terwilliger
