Marilyn G. Beatty age 83 of Ithaca, Michigan died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Masonic Pathways, Alma, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at United Methodist Church Ithaca, MI on Monday, August 27, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Steve Young will officiate with burial at Lexington Municipal Cemtery Lexington, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.

Marilyn was born in Lexington, Michigan on August 10, 1924 the daughter of George Dewey and Marion ( Edwards ) Miller. She resided most of her life in Lexington, Jackson, Frasier, Lake Orion, Flushing, Owosso, Alma, and then Ithaca. She graduated from Harbor Beach High School and attended Eastern Michigan University. Marilyn married Robert E. Beatty in 1947 in New Baltimore, Michigan. Mr. Beatty passed away in 1994. She then married Ed Hooper on May 20, 2006 in Ithaca. Marilyn was a homemaker and previously owned her own floral shop in Oxford, Michigan where she was a floral designer. She loved antiques and playing Scrabble and she enjoyed traveling to visiting her sons. Marilyn attended Ithaca United Methodist Church. Senior Activity Building; active in several bridge groups and sang in the church choir in the past.

She is survived by her husband Ed Hooper of Ithaca, 3 sons; Robert & Jennifer Beatty of Ashville, NC, Christopher & Lori Beatty of Albany, OR, Paul & Deborah Beatty of Mokelumne Hill, CA, grandchildren Camille, Genevieve, Kylie, and Connor, 2 brothers; Lloyd & Betty Miller of Phoeniz, AZ, Charles Miller of Alma, 2 special nieces Allison Miller of Ithaca, Gail Miller of Ovid. She is predeceased by parents, first husband, and son Garth.

Memorials may be made to Senior Activity Building. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.
