Marilyn Workman

Marilyn J. Workman, our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan at the age of 65.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Jared May officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 at the funeral home.

Marilyn was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 25, 1945, the daughter of Ollie B. and Georgia R. (Floyd) Davis. She married Ira Workman on November 21, 1962. Marilyn always put others first and wore a smile that could brighten anyone's day. Her family will never forget these things about her. She loved family gatherings and going to the casino.

She is survived by her husband Ira Workman of Elsie, MI, 3 sons; Stephen and Tammy Workman of Laingsburg, MI, Rodney Workman of Ovid, MI, Ollie Workman of Ovid, MI, daughter Bethany Workman of Ovid, MI, grandchildren; Shona, Ollie, Dustin, Rae'Ven, Brandy, Jonah, Michael, Waylon and Jesse, great grandchildren; Aubrey, Bentley and Katie, 8 brothers and sisters, and sister-in-law Sandra Gibbons of Lansing, MI. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Shona R. Workman.
