Marjorie W. Glowney age 87 of Bannister, Michigan died on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in St. Johns, Michigan. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20 2007 at the Bannister United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Jon Pohl and Rev. Kathy Leydorf will officiate and visitation will be on Saturday & Sunday from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie chapel. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan.
Marjorie was born on July 18, 1920 the daughter of Eugene & Anna (Heireman) Ensign and had resided most of her life in Bannister, Michigan. She had graduated from Bannister High School and then graduated from Central Michigan College in Mt. Pleasant with a teaching degree. Marjorie and married Floyd Glowney on June 18, 1944 in Bannister, Michigan, Floyd died December 22, 1998. She had taught school in Elsie & Bannister and many years at the country schools. She was a farmer and a farmera�(TM)s wife, a piano teacher, 4 a�" H Leader, who enjoyed cooking and baking. She was also a member of Bannister United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Hippo Club.
Survivors include her 1 daughter, Anne & Dennis Green of Montana, 3 sons, Peter Glowney of Laingsburg, Michigan, John & Connie Glowney of Seattle, Washington, Timothy & Anell Glowney of Charlevoix, Michigan, her grandchildren, Travis Glowney, Stephanie Green, Benjamin Glowney, Alysen Glowney, Lane Green, Colton Green, Abigail Glowney, 1 sister, Grace & Duane Green of Elsie, Michigan. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, Mary Zimmerman, Lillian Terrell, and 1 brother Albert Ensign.
