Marjorie “Margie” Victoria (Mayall) Kostal, age 67, passed away on February 13, 2022 surrounded by her family. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 1:00-3:00 PM at the First Church of God in Owosso, MI. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM with Pastor April Crump officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Tree Cemetery in Corunna, MI.
Margie was born September 20, 1954 in Topeka, Kansas to the late James and Jeanette (Johnson) Mayall.
Margie was a lifelong Shiawassee County resident who was an active member of the Lions Club and the First Church of God in Owosso. She loved to sew, do DIY projects, and spend time with family and friends. In the warmer months, Margie enjoyed attending and exhibiting at Classic Car Shows, shopping at Flea Markets, and camping up north with her family.
Margie spent several decades as a Cosmetologist before changing careers to become a Medical Assistant. Most recently, she worked in Ovid at Modern Woodmen of America. She enjoyed using her talents to serve others and was a Christian who walked out her faith daily.
Margie is survived by her children, Angela (Rory) Durling of Owosso, John (Jennifer) Turk of Durand and Kirk Turk of Owosso; grandchildren, Jacquelyn (Kadon) Hebekeuser, Seth Faketty, Susie, JD, and Kyler Turk, Bailey, Avery, and Caitlin Dennis, Angela, Victoria, and Vincent Turk; great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Scarlette Hebekeuser; siblings James Mayall, Perry Mayall, Sue Mayall, Mikki (Wassim) Safi; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Margie is also survived by her special friend, Don Stranahan.
She was preceded in death by husband, John Turk in 1997, and husband, Jim Kostal in 2018; parents, James and Jeanette Mayall; siblings, Millie Mayall and Lloyd Mayall; nephew, James Goodrich; brother-in-law, Dirk Nicholas; and many other Turk & Kostal family members.
