Marjorie Ruth Noonan, age 86, of Owosso, MI died Sunday, December 27, 2009 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Mark Filan will officiate. Burial will take place at Pine Tree Cemetery in Corunna. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 6-8 PM, and on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Marjorie was born in Paw Paw, Michigan on October 9, 1923, the daughter of Edward B. and Viva M. (Travis) Miller. She graduated from Owosso High School. Marjorie married Gerald Earl Noonan on July 4, 1943. He passed away November 23, 1999. Marjorie was a lifelong resident of Owosso. She loved to go to the casino and play bingo, and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and a friend ran an auction business in Bancroft several years ago. She was a member of the Owosso Eagles, and in the past she was a Girl Scout leader.
She is survived by her son Robin Noonan of Owosso, MI, her daughter Kimberly and Charles Fitzpatrick of Corunna, MI, 2 grandchildren; Adam Knapp and Heather Green of Corunna, MI, Jamie and Corbin Kneesel of Corunna, MI and Regina Days of Owosso, MI, 2 step granddaughters; Carmen and Thomas Gamsho of West Bloomfield, MI Alicia Fitzpatrick and Larry of Wayne, MI, 10 great grandchildren; Breanna & Brooklyn Knapp, Autumn Knapp, Elaina, Sarah & Joshua Kneesel, Nicholas, Gabrielle, Selma, and Joseph Gamsho, and 3 sisters in law; Genevieve Coldiron of Owosso, Mildred Peck of Corunna, and Barbara Miller of Owosso, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Amie Ray Knapp, 2 sisters, 1 brother and a half sister.
