Marjory Ellen “Marge” Hoyt age 87, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at McKellers Assisted Living, St. Louis, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI, on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., with Dr. Keith J. Wise officiating.  Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Seville Township, MI.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI., and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.

Marjory was born in St. Johns, Michigan on September 14, 1929, the daughter of Harold Reuben and Golda Mildred (Fitzgerald) Packer.  Marjory graduated as salutatorian from St. Louis High School with the class of 1947.  On November 6, 1948, she married Keith Hoyt at the Coe Church of Christ. Keith preceded her in death on December 1, 2006.

Marjory was a lifelong member of the St. Louis Church of Christ where she served as a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, and sang in the choir.  She also served as financial secretary for many years.  Marjory loved to sew and garden.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing games with her family, especially dominoes.

She is survived by her children; Karen and Jim Keyser of Holt, MI, Wanda and Clare Graham of St. Louis, MI, Phil and Polly Hoyt of Vestaburg, MI, and Ed Hoyt of St. Louis, MI, 13 grandchildren; Jaime, Jason, Troy, Shelby, Lyndsey, Garret, Hilarie, Jeff, Jill, Kristin, Jessica, Deana, Ryan, and 23 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by 2 sisters; Betty and Raymond Wood of Florida, and Joyce and Wayne Fisher of Breckenridge, MI, sister-in-law Doris Vibber of St. Louis, MI, and many nieces and nephews.  Marjory was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Keith, sister Janet Eden, and daughter-in-law Karen Hoyt.
