Mark Finch

Mark Alan Finch, age 63, of Alma, MI, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Arcada Adult Foster Care Home, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Lincoln Road United Methodist Church , Riverdale , MI , 48877 , Wednesday, August 18, 2021 , at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Lyne Stull-Lipps officiating.  Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI at a later date.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.

Mark was born in Bad Axe, MI on August 9, 1958 , the son of Victor Lee and Marilyn Joy (Shafer) Finch.  He graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1980.

Mark resided at Arcada Adult Foster Care Home with the staff and his adopted family for 13 years.  He will be remembered by many for his smile and sense of humor.  He was a brother and friend to many.  Mark worked at MMI, a workshop for the handicapped.  He enjoyed his job and the people he worked with.  He loved fishing, swimming and was a loyal MSU Spartan fan.  He was a member of Lincoln Road Methodist Church, Riverdale, MI.

He is survived by his father Victor Finch of Crystal, MI; sister Shirlee (Tracy) Finch of Crystal, MI, brothers: Jeffrey (Susan) Finch of Blanchard, MI; David (Barbara) Finch of Marion Springs, MI; special Aunt Sally Dehring of Buchanan, MI; and Aunt Mary (Art) Erskine of Merrill, MI.  He is also survived by nieces: Jennifer (Josh) Keef, Alexis (Colton) Mehloff, Ashlee (Jess) Knoll, and Holly Finch.  He is also survived by great-nieces and nephews: Jacob, Benjamin, Eleanora, Landon, and Owen.  He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn and his sister Deborah Marshall, and grandparents: Ed and Doris Finch and Clifford and Helen Shafer.
