Martha Mey

Martha K. (Wolfgram) Mey, age 86, of St. Louis, MI died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Louis, MI on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. Thai Nguyen and Deacon Al Oliver officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 5, 2011 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI.

Martha was born in Ionia, Michigan on September 22, 1924, the daughter of John N. and Glennie A. (Whittey) Hammond. She retired as a registered nurse from Tollfree Hospital in West Branch, MI. Martha was a member of Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Louis, MI.

She is survived by her daughter Berniece and Lyle Denniss of Lambertville, MI, son David and Janet Wolfgram of Saginaw, MI, daughter Sharon and Rick Edgar of St. Louis, MI, daughter Alice De La Rosa of Grand Rapids, MI, daughter Ann and Dan Larmore of Grand Rapids, MI, son Phillip and Lynette Mey of Akron, MI, stepson Gerald and Faye Wolfgram of Indian River, MI, 23 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and one sister, Frances and Leo Cassidy of Higgins Lake, MI. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Otto Wolfgram and two brothers; Jack and James Hammond.
