Martin H. Brown age 91 of Corunna, MI died Saturday, August 6, 2005 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday August 10, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paula�(TM)s Episcopal Church in Corunna. Father Russell Merrill will officiate with burial at Easton Cemetery in New Haven Township, Shiawassee County, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9 from 2-8 with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.

Martin was born in New Haven Township, Shiawassee County on May 1, 1914 the son of Adin and Sophia (Holzhausen) Brown. He was a lifelong resident of New Haven Twp. He attended grade school at Underwood Country Schools, and graduated from Corunna High School in 1932. Martin married Aileen Cornford in Corunna on December 7, 1941. Martin was a lifelong farmer, and was very successful in carrying on the family farming tradition of over 100 years in Northern New Haven Twp. He excelled in athletics of all kinds, and in the 1930s and 1940s was a member of the Easton Baseball Team. He was very devoted to his wife and family. He was also a very good storyteller and loved to pass along his knowledge on past events. Martin was a member of the Saginaw County Farm Bureau, and the Chesaning Farmers Coop.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years and his high school sweetheart, Aileen Brown of Corunna, MI, 3 children Margaret & Dave Loffelman of Corunna, MI, David & Bonnie Brown of Corunna, MI, William Brown of Chester, VA, 8 grandchildren Michael Loffelman of Grand Rapids, MI, Christa Loffelman of Philadelphia, PA, Brian Loffelman of Grand Rapids, MI, Nathan Brown & Teresa Code of Corunna, MI, Elizabeth Brown of Corunna, MI, Kayla Brown of Corunna, MI, Lisa Brown of Chester, VA, Lara Brown of Chester, VA, sister in law Lila Mogg of Owosso, MI, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Walter Brown; 1 half brother; and 3 half sisters.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Arthritis Foundation. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
