Martin "Marty" Hilary Miller, age 74, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler, MI, at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, June 6, 2024, with Rev. Fr. John Whitlock presiding. Burial will take place at a later date at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Goerge Chapel. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Martin was born in St. Johns, MI on December 31, 1949, the son of Marvin A. and Julia F. (Lewis) Miller. He was a graduate of Fowler High School and later earned an Associate Degree at Lansing Community College. On November 11, 1988, he married LuAnn Feldpausch at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. Marty loved spending time with his family and attending the sporting events of his kids and 14 grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered for his work ethic and putting others first. Marty was an avid MSU and Fowler Eagle fan. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity and sang in the choir for close to 20 years. He honorably served his country for 6 years in the Army Reserve. He volunteered as a Little League Baseball Coach in Fowler and manicured the grass at Most Holy Trinity cemetery. In 2015, he retired from Mahle in St. Johns. Some of his favorite times were spending the morning on the deck at Crystal Lake drinking his coffee and watching the boats.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years LuAnn Miller; son Lyle and Mariana Feldpausch; son Brad and Amy Miller; daughter Melanie and David Ladd; son Aaron and Stephanie Miller; son Ross and Tracie Feldpausch; son Jarrod and Kami Miller; 14 grandchildren: Skylar, Ella, Noah, Brady, Olivia, Sophia, Luke, Wyatt, Maddy, Nicholas, Dakota, Jaylen, Luana, and Lyla; brother Alan and Sheila Miller; sister Joanne McNamara; sister Lois Rodgers; sister-in-law Joanne Miller. Marty was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Chuck Miller, also brothers-in-law: Gary McNamara and Richard Rodgers.
