Martin Redman

Martin Rex "Marty" Redman, age 60, of Maple Rapids, MI, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021, at his home.

Internment will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Payne Cemetery, Fulton Township, Michigan.  A luncheon will immediately follow at Maple Rapids United Methodist Church.

Martin was born in St. Johns, MI on October 9, 1960, the son of Rex B. and Ilene Merece (Houseman) Redman.  Marty married Robin Sue Bender on March 24, 1979 in Carson City, MI.  Robin passed away on May 18, 2019.

Marty loved fishing and hunting. He was an independent truck driver for several years. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons: Michael James Redman of Greenville, MI; Rex B. Redman of Duck Lake, MI; siblings: Gary and Wendy Redman of Honolulu, HI; David and Mary Redman of Perrinton, MI; 3 grandchildren: Kolton Joshua Lee Redman, Raevin Redman, and Oliver Redman.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and his caretaker and longtime friend Jeff Vanderstow.   He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and his brothers: Joel Redman and Greg Redman who passed a few hours after him.
