Marvel Joan Phillips age 74 of Corunna, Michigan departed this life peacefully, Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at her home.

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Pastor John Downing will officiate. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.

Joan was born March 10, 1932 to Mr. and Mrs. Elmer LaRowe in Perry, Michigan. She graduated from Perry High School with the class of 1950. She had an incredible amount of patience and an undying love of children having been a teachera�(TM)s aide for 30 years in the Corunna School system. Her generosity and kindness was felt by many in the Corunna area. Joan was always the first person to help anyone in need. Her generous heart will be greatly missed by her four sons, Lynn of Flagstaff, AZ, Michael (Anita) of Warner Robins, GA, Allen (Paula) of Fort Worth, TX, and Scott (Linda) of St. Joseph, MI. Joan also leaves to cherish her memory, a sister Vida of Perry, MI, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and all who were blessed to have known her. Memorials may be made to Corunna Public Schools Education Foundation.
