Mary Jean "Jean" Baxter, age 79, of Riverdale, MI formerly of St. Louis, MI passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at Tendercare of Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Grant Colthorp officiating. Burial will take place at Cherry Grove Cemetery, Clare, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jean was born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 23, 1935, the daughter of John F. and Viola A. (Gardner) Parshall. She graduated from Gaylord High School with the class of 1952. Jean was a volunteer driver for various counties and she worked at Mid-Michigan Auction in Shepherd, MI. Jean liked helping people out and was a Senior Companion for many years. She enjoyed flea markets, playing Tetris, bingo, cards and cooking. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Steven Parshall, daughter Sue (Dreffs) McClure, daughter Kimberlee and Daniel Lewis, 9 grandchildren; Stevie, Jeanne, Jessie, Joey, Beth, Billy, Bekka, Sammie, and T.J., 24 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents John and Viola, brother John L. Parshall and two grandsons; Chris and Max.
