Mary Bond

Mary C. Bond died September 26, 2008, at the age of 75 (36). Born in North Star on June 7, 1933, the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (Chaweanec) Masarik. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 16 - Lapeer, and the 40 et 8, an avid bingo, poker and euchre player she also enjoyed going to casinos and travelling. She married Wilbur Bond in St. Johns on January 17, 1953 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1994.

Surviving are her children, Tom Bond of Lapeer, William (Gloria) Bond of Holt, Ward (Debra) Bond of Lapeer, Troy (Cathy) Bond of Colombiaville, Rayne (Mathew) Sommers of Walton Hills, OH and Scott (Tamera) Bond of Lapeer, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brother, Rudolph W. (Florence) Masarik and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Shawn Bond.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 29, 2008 at the Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., St. Johns with Rev. Fr. Ken McDonald officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M., Sunday at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Lapeer County Medical Care Facility.
