Mary DeSander

Mary Anne DeSander, age 54, of Vassar, MI passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will take place at Brant Cemetery Brant, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., and on Saturday, October 15, 2011 prior to the service from 10:00 - 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mary was born in Saginaw, Michigan on June 9, 1957, the daughter of Michael and Fern Mae (Wilson) Deming. Mary graduated from Ashley High School with the class of 1976. She was employed at Zehnders of Frankenmuth for 22 years. Mary loved spending time with her children and grandchildren along with all of her cats, dogs, fish and on occasion a toad or opossum. Her children were most important to her. In her spare time she enjoyed going to garage sales, thrift shops, and watching her favorite television shows, Nancy Grace, Ghost Stories and Snapped.

She is survived by her children; Chad and Richelle Deming, Brock DeSander, Ashley DeSander and Josue Perez, 5 grandchildren; Alexzandrea, Alana, Chaddy II, and Aleddea Deming, and Alivia Perez, her father Michael Deming, step mother Edith Deming, 2 brothers; Daniel and Linda Deming, Lawrence (Valerie) Deming, 5 sisters; Judith Davis, Elizabeth Dysinger, Kathleen Deming, Victoria (John) Deming, and Rebcca (Matt) Deming, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Fern and 4 brothers; Michael, Charles, Douglas, and Timothy Deming.
