Mary Fineout

Mary E. Fineout, age 94, of Ovid, MI died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. John Fain officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 3-8 P.M. Rosary will be prayed on Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mary was born in Remus, Michigan on May 19, 1917, the daughter of Silas LeRoy and Nora Ellen (Pumfrey) Leist. She graduated from Lansing Central High School with the class of 1936. On July 11, 1936 Mary married Martin Bruce Fineout in Lansing, Michigan; Martin died on October 20, 1992. Mary resided most of her life in the Elsie area. She retired as the service department manager for Montgomery Wards of Owosso, Michigan in 1969. Mary enjoyed collecting dolls and doing crafts and sewing.

She is survived by 2 daughters; Bonnie Mills of Boca Raton, FL, Kay and Brent Grubaugh of Ovid, MI, 2 sons; Gary Fineout and Linda Candy of Lake Wales, FL, Bruce and Luann Fineout of Harrison, MI, 13 grandchildren; Michael Mills, Timothy Mills, Jenifer McMahon, Heather Lawrence, Martin Fineout, Clayton Fineout, Christina Jarman, Jan Rowley, Ruby Catherine Cato, Amy Castillo, Jeffrey Fineout, Daniel Grubaugh, and Melissa Harden, 20 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and sister in law Martha Leist of Lansing, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
