Mary E. Goldman age 89 of Chapin Township, Michigan died Sunday, July 30, 2006 at Ovid Healthcare Center Ovid, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Friday, August 4, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Joel Thomford will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 from 4-8 P.M. and Thursday, August 3, 2006 from 4-8 P.M.

Mary was born in Buckholts, Texas on August 1, 1916 the daughter of John and Rosalie ( Hanacek ) Kadera. She resided most of her life in Chapin Township, Michigan and attended schools in Iowa and Minnesota. Mary married Carl Goldman Sr. on September 20, 1948. He passed away in 2002. She was the owner and operator of the Chapin General Store for 61 years. She enjoyed dining out and spending time with family and friends. Mary was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Chesaning and the ZCBJ Lodge of Bannister, MI.

She is survived by her 3 sons; Louis W. & Shirley Baron of Owosso, MI, Allen & Carrie Baron of Owosso, MI, Carl & Kathy Goldman of Perry, MI, 12 grandchildren; Rick & Mickey Baron, Larry Baron, Darla Baron, Holly & Kirt Stec, Shelly & Lenord Torrealba, Allan Baron II, Lisa & Mike Allswede, Chris Goldman, Lindsay Goldman, Chris Stephenson, Amber & Andy Uhl, Stefanie Studenka, 11 great grandchildren , brother Jerry Kadera, 2 sisters Rose Day, and Annie Smalec, and several nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter Lucelle, sister Lillian and brother Steve.

Memorials may be made to WOES Radio Station or a charity of the donor's choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
