Mary Joann Holton age 65 of Owosso, Michigan died Sunday, December 11, 2005 at the home of her son.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church Ovid, MI on December 15, 2005 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Fr. Ray Urbanek will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery Henderson, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 14 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Rosary will be prayed on Wednesday, December 14 at 5:00 P.M.
Mary was born in Saginaw, Michigan on September 6, 1940 the daughter of Claude and Frieda ( Knieper ) Munson. She resided most of her life in Saginaw, Michigan and graduated from Saginaw High School with the class of 1958. Mary married Carl Ellis Holton on November 12, 1988 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Owosso. She was a valued employee of Baker College working in their housekeeping department. She had a great sense of humor and a big heart, always placing others welfare and happiness ahead of her own. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of Ovid, Michigan.
She is survived by her husband Ellis Holton of Owosso, MI, daughter Joanne Jenkins of Indiana, daughter Joyce Dick of Michigan, son Thomas M. Dick of Michigan, daughter Carol J. Lowley of Tennessee, son Benjamin J. & Laura Dick of Michigan, son Anthony & Amanda Dick of North Carolina, daughter Nancy & Ken Burger of Michigan, 2 brothers; Andy Munson, Richard & Laura Erly, 4 sisters; Millie & Bob Mehl, Sarah & Morris Heniger, Ruth & Jerry Holihan, and Lucy Brickle. She is predeceased by her parents, and 3 sons William Charles, Joseph I. Jr., and Thomas Joseph.
Memorials may be made to Shiawassee County Parks. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
