Mary Jean Huguelet, age 87, of Elsie, MI passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, Michigan.

A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Elsie on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Ralph Parkin officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of service at the church.

Mary Jean was born in Elsie, Michigan on December 15, 1926, the daughter of Gilbert Davis and Mary (Dennison) Stadick. She graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1944. Mary Jean married Don on November 13, 1958 in St. Johns, Michigan. Don died on August 24, 2012. She resided most of her life in the Elsie area. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking. Her family brought her much enjoyment. She and Don spent 13 enjoyable winters in Florida. Mary Jean was a past member of the Elsie Literary Club and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elsie, Michigan.

She is survived by her children; Deborah and Ted Schulz of Bannister, MI, Wendy Frye of Elsie, MI, Karla and Ed Bancroft of Ovid, MI, Perry and Patti Munson of Elsie, MI, Lee and Rosemary Huguelet of St. Johns, MI, Michelle and Gary Helmer of St. Johns, MI, 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way, 2 sisters; Faye and Bob Oliver of Traverse City, MI, JoAnn and Ray Chase of East Lansing, MI, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, sister and brother-in-law Phyllis and Vince Caudy, and 1 great granddaughter Trinity.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Elsie.
