Mary A. Kolhoff age 94 of St. Louis, Michigan died Monday, January 12, 2004 at Schnepp Healthcare Center, St. Louis, Michigan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 15, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Louis, Michigan with Rev. Fr. Charles Hammond officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. The Prayer Service will be held Wednesday Evening at 7:30 P.M.
Mary was born in Glandorf, Ohio on April 8, 1909 the daughter of John and Mary (Meyer) Hoffman. On September 9, 1936 she married Wilfred H. Kolhoff in Shepherd, Michigan. Wilfred died on December 14, 1990. She was a member of Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Louis, Michigan. She had resided most of her life in Shepherd then moving to St. Louis, Michigan in 1948.
Survivors include her four children; Norma & Bruce Moeggenborg of Alma, Michigan, John & Dorothy Kolhoff of Gladwin, Michigan, Richard & Linda Kolhoff of St. Louis, Michigan, Albert Kolhoff of St. Louis, Michigan, seven grandsons; Douglas & Heather Moeggenborg of Chesaning, Michigan, Todd & Paula Moeggenborg of Alma, Michigan, Brent & Lisa Moeggenborg of St. Johns, Michigan, John & Kim Kolhoff of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Terry & Kathie Kolhoff of Shepherd, Michigan, Greg & Cindy Kolhoff of St. Louis, Michigan, Jason & Kristine Kolhoff of Minnesota, one granddaughter; Jennifer & Dan Deppen of Florida, one step-granddaughter; Shelly & Chris Hoffman of Bay City, Michigan, one step-grandson; Jason & Stacie Sturm of Auburn, Michigan. Also surviving her are sixteen great-grandchildren; Noah & Phillip Moeggenborg, Paul, Nicholas, & Adam Moeggenborg, Reese, Grant, Meagan & Grace Moeggenborg, Sean & Kaitlin Kolhoff, Cameron, Jared & Erynn Kolhoff, Brittney & Taylor Kolhoff, two step great-grandsons; Gatlin Hoffman, Keaton Sturm, two sisters; Frances Best of St. Louis, Michigan, Mildred Kremsreiter of St. Louis, Michigan, two brothers; Bill & Maxine Hoffman of Mason, Michigan, Don & Grace Hoffman of Shepherd, Michigan, three sisters in- law Marie Kremsreiter of St. Louis, Michigan, Eva Hoffman of Shepherd, Michigan, Alice Hoffman of Shepherd, Michigan.
She was predeceased by her parents, infant son & daughter, daughter in-law, Bonnie in 1992, seven brothers, three sisters in- law, and five brothers in law.
Memorials may be made to the Mt. St. Joseph Building Fund. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
