Mary Madden

Mary Ann Madden age 55 of Elsie, Michigan died Friday, October 13, 2006 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church Bannister, MI on October 17, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and Monday, October 16, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Rosary will be prayed on Monday, October 16, 2006 at 6:00 P.M.

Mary was born in St. Johns, MI on April 2, 1951 the daughter of Steve and Josephine ( Luznak ) Slamka. She resided most of her life in St. Johns and Elsie areas, attended Ovid-Elsie Schools and graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School and then from Alma Practical Nursing School. Mary married John Madden on May 3, 1975 in Bannister, Michigan. She worked as a Para Pro at OE Middle School and the High School, and she worked as Home Health Care through Owosso Memorial. Mary was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church, St. Cyril's Altar Society, Lioness, as well as a Religious Ed. Teacher, Eucharist Minister, and worked for the Ambulance Service in Elsie.

She is survived by her husband John Madden of Elsie, MI, son Mark Madden of Elsie, MI, daughter Michelle & Chancey Kamp of Elsie, MI, brother: Steve & Patty Slamka of Owosso, MI, sister: Joanne & Ron Evans of Ashley, MI, several nieces & nephews and her dog: Coco. She is predeceased by her parents.

Memorials may be made to St. Cyril's Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes,
Elsie Chapel.
