Mary (Schafer)Kramer

Mary A. (Schafer) Kramer, age 91, died May 29, 2014. She was born in Clinton County, March 8, 1923, the daughter of Henry and Veronica (Bierstetel) Schafer. Mary married Steve Kramer in Hubbardston, MI on August 30, 1944 and he preceded her in death in 2003. Mary was a member St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo and a devoted wife, a farmer and a homemaker, and loved John Deere tractors.

Mary is survived by her sister Rita Gesselman of Carson City, MI and her brother Thomas C. (Helen) Schafer of St. Johns, MI and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Gerald, Bernard and Paul Schafer, and a sister, Agnes Bradbury.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo, MI. with Fr. Charlon Mason presiding and burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. at the Goerge Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes, 11112 W. Ionia St., Fowler. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
