Mary Kay Lowell age 61, of Alma, MI, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma, MI.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady-Sorrows Catholic Church Chapel, Farminton, MI, on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 10:00 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Paul Graney officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
Mary Kay was born in Livonia, MI on July 24, 1957, the daughter of Jim and Patricia Sharlene (Clements) Rosso. She graduated from Farmington Hills High School with the class of 1975. Mary Kay and Mike met in 1986 at the Big Boy Restaurant in Novi, MI. Mary Kay married Mike Lowell on April 1, 2003, in Ithaca, MI.
Mary Kay worked several years at Braveheart's Pub in Alma as a waitress. She also spent time working at Admiral, Pizza Hut of Alma and Stuart Anderson's of Detroit. She loved camping, being outdoors and working in her flower gardens. Above all Mary Kay loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and her grandchildren's friends. Mary Kay was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
She is survived by her mother Sharlene Rosso of Farmington Hills, MI; husband Mike Lowell of Alma, MI; children: Chris and Jennifer Hart of Brighton, MI; Jamie Hart of Whitmore Lake, MI; Michael and Brooke Lowell of Alma, MI; grandchildren: Kailey Marie Smith, Mayson Lowell, Tyler Hart, and Brennan Hart; sisters: Julie and Charlie Hornasack of Novi, MI; Jacci and Sam Armeni of Royal Oak, MI; Joyce and John Potter of Chicago, IL; and brother Jeff Potter of Farmington Hills, MI. She was preceded in death by her father and sister Terri Rosso.
