Mavis Hoyt

Mavis Marie Hoyt, 89, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, at her home.

A Graveside Service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, with Pastor Ron Frederick officiating.

Mavis was born in Western Grove, Arkansas on January 21, 1928, the daughter of Leonard and Donna (Watters) Robinson. She graduated from St. Louis High School 1946. Mavis married Glen M. Hoyt on October 5, 1946 at the St. Louis Baptist Church, MI. Glen passed away on September 28, 2007.  Mavis enjoyed mowing lawn, gardening, canning and quilting.

She is survived by her children;  Gary and Margaret Hoyt of St. Louis, MI, Glenda Bloomquist of St. Louis, MI, Peggy and Bernard Baert of St. Louis, MI, Andy Hoyt of St. Louis, MI, grandchildren; Kenneth and Emily  Hoyt of St. Louis, MI, Brian and Heather Bloomquist of Breckenridge, MI, Craig and Michelle Bloomquist of Petersburg, Illinois, Julie and JJ Metz of Kawkawlin, MI, Chris and Phil Eichbauer of St. Louis, MI, Angie and Scott Stephens of Mason, MI, 10 great grandchildren; JW and Luke Hoyt, Marissa and Miranda Bloomquist, Anna and Noah Bloomquist, Dillon and Lia Metz, Emma Eichbauer, and Connor Stephens, brothers; Louis and Mary Robinson, Gene and Dorothy Robinson, and Bud and Mary Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Ralph Hoyt, grandchildren; William and James Hoyt, son in law Reginald Bloomquist, sister Garnett Jones, and brother Estes Robinson.
