Max Lee Bannister, age 61, of St. Louis, MI died Friday, November 7, 2008 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel, St. Louis, MI on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM, Rev. David Jewell will officiate. Burial will be held at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10, 2007 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
Max was born in Middleton, Michigan on July 2, 1947, the son of Wilbur and Flossie (Casner) Bannister. Max married Deborah S. Meyers in Newark Township on June 6, 1992. Max resided most of his life in Riverdale. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and also a member of Living Hope Fellowship Church in St. Louis. He enjoyed bead work, playing Playstation, and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Bannister of St. Louis, MI, 2 sons; Jim and Sarah Bannister of Elm Hall, MI, Jesse and Jodi Wonsey of Alma, MI, step son Russell and Leanna Wonsey of Carson City, MI, 9 grandchildren, and 4 sisters; Lena Spohn and Daisy Carll both of Riverdale, MI, Mary Cole of Middleton, MI, and Violet Davis of Flint, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
