Maxine Hillier

Maxine Clara Hillier age 80 of Flushing, Michigan formerly of Owosso, Michigan died August 13, 2008 at HCR ManorCare in Flushing, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Monday, August 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Chaplain Beverly Adcock will officiate with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday, August 17, 2008 from 2-8 p.m. with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
Maxine was born in Owosso, Michigan on June 10, 1928 the daughter of Frederick A. and Estella ( Young ) Theile. Maxine had resided in Flushing since 1963, having previously lived in Davison and Owosso and graduated from Owosso High School. Maxine married Raymond Alvin Hillier on June 10, 1957 in Owosso, Michigan. Raymond passed away on July 12, 2004. Maxine worked for Bell Telephone Company and retired in 1968. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her home and flower gardens. Maxine was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son Lee Hillier of Davison, MI, daughters; Kimberly Hillier of Flint, MI, Lisa Hillier of Silver Spring, MD, grandchildren Matthew & Shannon Cooke, sister Evelyn & Victor Moiles of Owosso, MI, sister-in-law Dorothy Theile of Corunna, MI, and several nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband Raymond, and one brother John Theile.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI
